The race for the Democratic nomination is so close that a recent Dallas Morning News article laid out a scenario where the Democratic vote in Dallas could determine the outcome of the entire thing. I've already seen more than my fill of TV ads touting a plan to "fix" healthcare (and by fixing they both mean socialism) or a tax increase that is thinly veiled in a "plan" to rescue the economy. It would actually be entertaining to watch if it wasn't so frightening!

um, would i get attacked if i said i like obama?
ReplyDeleteand also, what about the mccain article in the new york times???
i won't attack you. i think he's a great speaker - and has a lot of charisma. not sure i trust him to run our country. i'm pro-life ... he's not. that's a big one for me.
ReplyDeletecall me a pessimist ... but anyone who has made it this far in the presidential election is, to some degree, tainted. i just don't believe they are the "upstanding" people that they portray themselves to be - no matter how good their ads may be. anyone who runs in those circles lives a life drastically different than the one that i know and it causes me to be incredibly suspicious of them ALL
not worry i'll still be voting! :)

I think the NYT story was below the belt. Thoroughly debunked by evidence offered by McCain's campaign before they published it but they chose to ignore the info and go ahead with it. The NYT endorsed McCain in the NY state primary on Feb 5 and they've been working on this story for a couple weeks. Why endorse a guy who you're about to trash? I don't get it.
